Now publishing ten times a year, Clinical Toxicology serves as an international voice on the unique specialty of medical toxicology. The journal presents timely, peer-reviewed scientific research and clinical articles on all facets of acute and chronic poisoning and its management. The rapid proliferation of new drugs, toxins, antitoxins, and environmental hazards and the renewed threat of chemical warfare are pressing issues in emergency medicine. Certification in the subspecialty of Clinical Toxicology is now offered by the American Boards of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Preventative Medicine (ABPM), and Pediatrics (ABP), reflecting the need for expertise in a variety of areas that the journal covers, such as:
